Transparency in commercial real estate can build trust that delivers outsized economic benefits. Transparency lowers investor risk (or at least makes the risk more straightforward to manage). The ability to better manage risk can increase access to capital and lower the cost of that capital. The more transparent a CRE operation, the more manageable its risk. But to be transparent, we must have accessible data and interoperable technology platforms.
Technology is slowing knocking down the walls around this protected data, often for the benefit of the industry as a whole. In this podcast with Reonomy’s Richard Sarkis, Estated’s Josh Fraser and PropelGrowth’s Candyce Edelen, we discuss how open and standardized data will change the property industry and add value to the entire real estate ecosystem.
